20 Oct: Severe disruption - avoid travelling with Stansted Express

Due to engineering works, there will be no direct train service between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street on Sunday 20th October.

Travel options
  • Use alternative transport (e.g. car, coach or taxi) to Stansted Airport.
  • If you need to travel by rail, Stansted Express tickets will be accepted for London Kings Cross to Stansted Airport. You'll need to change trains at Cambridge on the way. The journey time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Check timetable in Greater Anglia's booking engine.
  • A restricted replacement bus (which is likely to be one bus with limited capacity) will operate between Stansted Airport and Waltham Cross.  From Waltham Cross there will be 2 trains an hour with limited capacity. Check timetable.

24 Oct: Late evening diversion to 2330 and 2345 Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street trains

On the evening of Thursday 24th October, the 2330 and 2345 Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street trains will no longer stop at Seven Sisters Station, instead these trains will be diverted to stop at Tottenham Hale Station.

27 Oct: Extended journey times due route diversion of trains until 0950

Due to maintenance work between London Liverpool Street and Tottenham Hale, on Sunday 27th October, trains will be diverted via an alternative route to normal until 0950. As a result, journey times will be extended between Liverpool Street and Tottenham Hale.

28 - 31 Oct: Late evening diversion to 2330 and 2345 Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street trains

Due to planned maintenance between Cheshunt and Seven Sisters stations, on the evenings of Monday 28th to Thursday 31st October, the 2330 and 2345 Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street trains will no longer stop at Seven Sisters Station, instead these trains will be diverted to stop at Tottenham Hale Station.

17 Nov: No trains between Tottenham Hale and Stratford

Due to maintenance work, there will be no direct train service between Stratford and Tottenham Hale on Sunday 17th November. Customers travelling to/from Stratford should travel via London Liverpool Street.

24 Nov: Late evening diversion to train services

25 Nov - 29 Nov: 0440 Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport Train to call at Seven Sisters

Due to planned maintenance on the mornings of Monday 25th to Friday 29th November 2024, the 0440 Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport will no longer stop at Tottenham Hale Station, instead this train will be diverted to stop at Seven Sisters Station.

1 Dec: Extended times & trains will stop at Seven Sisters instead of Tottenham Hale until 0815

Due to maintenance between Tottenham Hale and Cheshunt: 
  • Until the 07:30 train from Stansted Airport and 07:55 train from London Liverpool Street - we will be stopping at Seven Sisters instead of Tottenham Hale, extending journey times by several minutes as a result. 
  • The first train Tottenham Hale to Stansted Airport service is at 08.22 and the first from Stansted Airport to Tottenham Hale is at 07.45.

1 Dec: 2330 and 2345 Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street trains diverted to stop at Seven Sisters

Due to maintenance between Tottenham Hale and Cheshunt: 
  • 23:30 and 23:45 trains from Stansted Airport - will stop at Seven Sisters instead of Tottenham Hale, extending journey times by several minutes as a result.

9 - 12 Dec: Late evening diversion to 2330 and 2345 Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street trains

Due to planned maintenance between Cheshunt and Seven Sisters stations, on the evenings of Monday 9th to Thursday 12th December, the 2330 and 2345 Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street trains will no longer stop at Seven Sisters Station, instead these trains will be diverted to stop at Tottenham Hale Station.

15 Dec: Rail Replacement Coaches between Waltham Cross and Stansted Airport until 0900

Due to engineering works, there will be [b]no direct [/b]train service between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street on Sunday 15th December until 0900.
  • Before 0900 trains will operate between Liverpool Street and Waltham Cross. Rail Replacement coaches will operate direct between Waltham Cross and Stansted Airport.
  • The first Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport train will depart Liverpool Street at 0840.
  • The first Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street train will depart Stansted Airport at 0900.

Due to engineering works, there will be no train service between Tottenham Hale and London Liverpool Street on Thursday 26th December. A half hourly train service from Stansted Airport to Tottenham Hale will operate.
  • The first train from Tottenham Hale to Stansted Airport service is at 06.45 and the first from Stansted Airport to Tottenham Hale is at 07.00.
  • The last train from Tottenham Hale to Stansted Airport service is at 23.45 and the first from Stansted Airport to Tottenham Hale is at 23.59.
